MISSION STATEMENT

UTE TRIBE PUBLIC TRANSIT IS HERE TO PROVIDE A SAFE, AFFORDABLE, AND COMFORTABLE RIDE FOR ALL THOSE IN NEED OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

  

The Ute Tribe Public Transportation Program is here to provide services for the Public who reside in the (3) Communities on the Uintah and Ouray Reservation and Nearby Town of Roosevelt, our services provides the passengers to their place of employment, Indian Health Services, The Ute Plaza, and to rendezvous and transfer with the Uintah Basin Transit. The Ute Tribe Public Transit has (2) 5310 busses that are designated for the Elderly, ADA and Low –Income members without means of transportation to take part in the world around them so they are able to lead productive lives in part because of these services. The 5310 busses is a Demand Response Service.

The Ute Tribe Transit is also a 5311 service on a Fixed Route Bus # 88.

The Ute Tribe Transit / Motor Pool MCI Charter Bus also provides transportation (FUN BUS) to Special and Cultural Events within the State of Utah and other States. These events will be posted and everyone is welcome to sign up with the Transit Department, you can call the Transit Office for sign up to these events @ 435-725-4924 or 435-725-4984.

The Ute Tribe Transit has (3) other busses #101 that is a 44 passenger, Bus #99 is a 27 passenger bus and #62 that is a 16 passenger bus, these busses also transports those to events and department use when requested.

BUS SCHEDULE INFORMATION AND HOURS OF OPERATION

The Transit hours of operation is Monday – Thursday, the routes we cover are the Communities of Whiterocks, Randlett, and Myton/Roosevelt. Also there is a Roosevelt Route at 8:30 am and 3:30 pm that transports our clientele to the nearby town of Roosevelt and back to Fort Duchesne.

The Ute Tribe Public Transit complies with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Ute Tribe Public Transit is a Non Profit entity. It is the policy of the Ute Tribe Public Transit to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statues or regulations in all programs and activities so administered. The Ute Tribe Public Transit will take all steps to ensure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color or natural origin, be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity of the Agency. Included in website is the Ute Tribe Title VI Compliant Process, Complaint Forms and Brochure, this includes 5310 Program. This service is geared for the Elderly, ADA, and Low-Income members of our communities. This is a Demand Response Service therefore if you need a ride call the Transit Office @ 435-725-4924/4984 for scheduled pick up.

The Ute Tribe Public Transit is concerned about our passengers and our services, if there is any complaints or incidents that occur while utilizing the transit system, you can file with the Transit Department. On our website there will be Incident and Complaint Forms that you can print off, if you are unable to print off an Incident or Complaint form call the Transit Coordinator Jeromy Groves @ 435-823-8880 immediately to resolve your concern and (or) complaint. Your experience while utilizing our Transit System is important to our department and we will do all we can to ensure your ride follows our Mission Statement. In our website we have a Rider Manual that provides guidelines, protocols, and rules for the Ute Tribe Transit Authority.
