UPDATE FROM VENITA K. TAVEAPONT LIBRARY:

I would like to share with everyone what a job well done by our youth, here in the library. The Library has joined efforts with Pizza Hut in Roosevelt to provide our own private reading program. In February we launched a March Read-A-Thon, reaching out to youth ages 0-18 to join us in reading 20 minutes a day for the entire month of March. The Library set a goal of 6,000 minutes total, equaling about 10 readers for the month of March. We are fortunate to announce we exceeded our goal by 14,7000 minutes by 26 readers! Since we beat our goal, Roosevelt Pizza gave each reader a gift of a personal pan pizza as their reward for a job well done! Good job to all those who read during the March Read-A-Thon! I am extremely proud of each one of you!

Pizza Hut has joined efforts with the Library to continue Reading Rewards with future endeavors through the Library. We couldn’t be more thankful to Pizza Hut, Manager Jason R. and their staff for their support to make this possible for our youth. Thank you to the Pizza Hut Regional Office, Manger Jason R, and Pizza Hut all around, for helping the Ute Indian Tribe, Venita K. Tavenpont Memorial Library readers March Read-A-Thon success!
